Environmental Research
Environmental geophysics research couples field and laboratory studies with
sophisticated modeling and interpretation methods. Current research projects
include:
Mapping of Contaminant Plumes by the Induced Polarization Method
Mapping of Cavities using Ground Penetrating
Radar
Resistivity Imaging as a Tool
for Geothermal Exploration
Resistivity Imaging as a Tool
for Water Prospecting
Self Potential Imaging as a Tool
for Subsurface Gas Characterization
Other projects include GPR imaging of the near surface and electrokinetic
applications. We have worked in a variety of field locations, including
St. Lucia, Barbados, Savannah River, Oakridge National Lab, Cape Cod, and
the greater Boston area. For more information, contact Prof.
Dale Morgan (617.253.7857).
