Graduate Student and Postdoctoral position at the MIT mineral physics lab

The mineral physics lab at MIT invites applications for graduate student and postdoctoral positions to study the physical properties and structures of crystalline phases and amorphous phases at high pressure and high temperature conditions. Postdoc candidates should have a Ph. D in Earth sciences, physics, chemistry or related field, and strong knowledge and experiences in: (1) vibrational spectroscopy, (2) synchrotron powder diffraction and data analysis (e.g., Rietveld method), and/or (3) other synchrotron-based spectroscopy techniques in the diamond-anvil cell.

For postdoc position, the initial appointment is for one year, but appointment is renewable each year.
