All EAPS community members are invited to screen the Emmy Award-winning documentary, featuring our very own Sara Seager!
The Hunt for Planet B, by CNN Films and director Nathaniel Kahn, tells the origin story of NASA’s ambitious James Webb Space Telescope, interweaving the tale of how this massive machine was built with the stories of the pioneering group of female scientists who helped envision it.
Join us at 4:30pm on the community stairs in the Building 55 atrium to hear Sara give a short introduction about the film and the science behind the JSWT.
Popcorn and beverages will be served!
- Film run-time is 93 minutes
- Feel free to bring a pillow, blanket, or something nice to sit on and get cozy
“What begins as a real-time scientific adventure turns into a deep meditation on our place in the universe. On the brink of seeing farther out than ever before, we find ourselves looking back at our own imperiled planet with new eyes.”
