Research Journeys in Earth Sciences — Navigating Faculty Careers

This session will focus on how to apply for faculty positions and how to navigate the challenges that arise during the process. We are delighted to have Ursula Jongebloed and Talia Tamarin-Brodsky join us to share their experiences and insights.

The seminar will feature:

  • Two presentations (15–20 minutes each)
  • A 20-minute Q&A panel, where you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions about academic career paths
  • Lunch served immediately after the seminar, providing time for informal discussion and networking

About this series —

A new mentoring initiative made possible by a grant from the School of Science Quality of Life (SQoL) program. Each seminar will include short presentations followed by a panel discussion on topics relevant to early-career researchers navigating career path options, from student to postdoc to tenure-track.
