This January marked the fourth year that the MIT Astronomy Field Camp was hosted by the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias (IAC). Coordinated by Wallace Astrophysical Observatory Director and Senior Lecturer Michael Person, MIT undergraduate students spent their Independent Activities Period (IAP) in Tenerife, Spain, at the site of the Teide Observatory. There, they were able to conduct research using the telescope network and presented their research alongside graduate students from the University of La Laguna (ULL).
