Research Interests
My primary research interests are the geochemical evolution of the Earth’s oceans over the past billion years and how these records are preserved or altered. At MIT, I specialize in measuring carbonate clumped isotope on our Nu Perspective IRMS and U-Th dating on our Nu Plasma II MC-ICP-MS. In addition, I am passionate about teaching lab concepts, learning new skills in the lab, and optimizing space and equipment for high quality research and ease of use.
Topics I investigate:
- Carbonate sedimentology
- Isotope geochemistry
- Geochronology
- Paleoclimate
- Paleobiology
